My Story
In the mid-2000’s I attended my first-ever conflict management workshop thanks to a social service agency I was working with at the time. It was through that workshop that I fell in love with working with people going through difficult situations.
More than a decade later, I found myself with an Advanced Certificate in Conflict Management and Mediation from Conrad Grebel University College, a Chartered Mediator designation from the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario, a Certified Pregnancy and Infant Loss Grief Coach from Seeds of Growth, two Family Mediation Accreditation designations from FDRIO and OAFM, and a Master’s in Leadership from Royal Roads University.
To be honest though, it’s not my education that taught me the most about conflict transformation. It’s the 500+ mediations and coaching sessions that I have walked with clients through.
Now, I find myself working with workplaces and congregations, teaching as an adjunct professor for the University of Waterloo, and holding workshops and public speaking across the country.
My VALUES
My clients come from across the organizational and denominational spectrum – technology companies, public and private organizations/businesses, and not-for-profits.
I have a M.A. in Leadership from Royal Roads University, a B.A. with a double major in English and Psychology, and an Advanced Certificate in Conflict Management and Mediation. I am a Chartered Mediator with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario and an Accredited Family Mediator through the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario and the Ontario Association for Family Mediation. Lastly, I teach at the University of Waterloo and Conrad Grebel University College, and am a past Director on the Board for the Alternative Dispute Resolution of Ontario.
